My recent trip to Tennessee was not intended for pleasure but to visit with my mom who was in the hospital. However, once she was released and home recovering, I ventured out to get my childhood favorite food… baby burgers from Diary Queen – that somehow just hit the spot.
My daily escape to reality was grocery shopping at Walmart… which I had to actually drive to another town to visit. I knew it was time to leave when the check out ladies were starting to recognize me!
And what is a trip back home without visiting MOMs! Mechants Outlet Mall located in the old Brown Shoe Company with isles and isles of great finds. Everything from old to new stuff, purses to furniture and even four wheelers. My sister and I spent a good hour walking around and see some great finds. I bought 2 old oil lamps and a couple of old glass milk bottles from early 1900s.
