“Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.” ― Karen Davison
Scout’s Honor Rescue rescues animals from city pounds, including animals from Houston’s Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care (BARC) and the City of La Porte animal shelter. Scout’s Honor also takes in animals living on the streets. We do not limit our program to healthy animals or particular breeds, and we often save animals from abusive situations. Scout’s Honor provides these beautiful creatures with a second chance to be placed in loving, permanent homes so that they can receive the love and attention they sorely deserve. Since our formation, Scout’s Honor has rescued over 3,000 animals and currently has over 80 dogs and cats in our program!
Scout’s Honor’s rescue program is “foster based”; that is, each of the animals we rescue is placed in a temporary foster home, where it receives much-needed love, care, and structure while it waits for its permanent home. We could not exist without our wonderful foster parents.

About the gala…
JOIN US in our 2nd Annual Scout’s Honor Charity Gala on November 6th, at The Heights Villa (3600 Michaux St)!! We need your help to make it a success. Click HERE to purchase tickets. Tickets are subject to availability so PLEASE ACT FAST!!
All proceeds will benefit the formerly homeless dogs and cats in Scout’s Honor Rescue’s program. This will be our largest (and most important) fundraiser this year!
We hope to fill The Heights Villa to capacity, and we can’t do it without your help. General admission tickets are available for a suggested donation of $65 each ($75 at the door), and they include dinner, open Full Bar, entertainment, LIVE and silent auctions (Rolexes, beach house rental, sailboat rental, commissioned artwork by Houston’s own Kermit Eisenhut, Blue Dog artwork, jewelry and TONS more!), and final voting for our Scout’s Honor Spokes Animal contest!
100% of the contributions to Scout’s Honor will be meaningfully applied and will achieve tangible results in animal rescue.
I will also be on hand Friday night as the official photographer for the 2nd Annual Scout’s Honor Charity Gala. Won’t you come out and join us?!
** And make sure to bid on my auction item of a fabulous photo shoot for your family (pet included), high school senior or engagement – the proceeds will go to help animals that needs love and so much more.
