He walked the fence line with me as quiet and polite as always. The sun was unusually warm on this March afternoon, but this is Houston after all. His dad was busy looking for a football to use during the shoot, but we decided to start with baseball first.
As we chatted, Ethan described himself to me as minimalistic, which does indeed fit him. But, he is also passionate about his future and shared that he wants to major in pre-med to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps.
As Walt Whitman quoted, “I see great things in baseball…”. I too, see great things in Ethan’s future. Just a little over a week before his high school graduation, Ethan’s baseball team (on which he is a pitcher), Lutheran South Academy, won the state championship. What a great way to end his high school career!
